ΖΩΗ ΣΤΗ ΓΑΖΑ – ΘΑΝΑΤΟΣ ΣΤΟN ΦΑΣΙΣΜΟ
Οι θηριωδίες στη Γάζα αποτελούν πλέον το ιστορικό πρότυπο για τον φασισμό του 21ου αιώνα. Από δω και μπρος καλούμαστε να κουβαλήσουμε στην πλάτη των αγώνων μας τους δεκάδες χιλιάδες νεκρούς Παλαιστίνιους και Παλαιστίνιες των οποίων την εξόντωση δεν κατάφεραν ούτε το παγκόσμιο κίνημα αλληλεγγύης ούτε και η ανθρωπότητα γενικότερα να αποτρέψουν. Εδώ και καιρό, το «ποτέ ξανά» έγινε ξανά και ξανά και ξανά.
Δεν έχουμε αυταπάτες. Ξέρουμε ότι η οικονομική και πολιτική ελίτ του τόπου βάλθηκε να μετατρέψει όση Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία έχει υπό τον έλεγχό της σε προτεκτοράτο του Ισραήλ (και των ΗΠΑ). Ξέρουμε ότι ο ορίζοντας των ταξικών και κοινωνικών αγώνων που θα δώσουμε τώρα και στο μέλλον διαμορφώνεται πια σε ένα πλαίσιο γενοκτονικού φασισμού, στο οποίο η Κύπρος βρίσκεται κυριολεκτικά στο επίκεντρο.
Υπάρχει, όμως, και ένα άλλο κάλεσμα. Καλούμαστε, πλέον, να κουβαλούμε στους αγώνες μας την αξιοπρέπεια της αντίστασης που ακόμα επιβιώνει κάτω από τα χαλάσματα και τα ερείπια της Γάζας και που αρνείται τον θάνατο και την προσφυγοποιήση. Αυτήν την αξιοπρέπεια πρέπει να βρούμε και να κουβαλήσουμε μέχρι τον λόφο της ντροπής, στις πύλες του Προεδρικού, τη Δευτέρα. Αν υπάρχει ακόμα ζωή, αυτή βρίσκεται στην αξιοπρέπεια της αντίστασης και στον αγώνα για επιβίωση, στην Παλαιστίνη και παντού.
Μαζί με το Παγκύπριο Συμβούλιο Ειρήνης και δεκάδες άλλες οργανώσεις, καταδικάζουμε τη συνεχιζόμενη και αυξανόμενη σύμπραξη της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας στη συντελούμενη γενοκτονία του παλαιστινιακου λαού και τη δουλοπρέπεια της κυβέρνησης απέναντι στο κράτος του Ισραήλ. Κανένας Κόμπος και κανένας Χριστοδουλίδης δεν μας εκπροσωπούν.

LIFE TO GAZA – DEATH TO FASCISM
The atrocities in Gaza have now become the historical blueprint for 21st century fascism. From now on we are called upon to carry on the back of our struggles the tens of thousands of dead Palestinians whose extermination neither the global solidarity movement nor humanity in general have been able to prevent. For a long time now, the “never again” has been happening again and again and again.
We have no illusions. We know that the economic and political elite has set out to convert the Republic of Cyprus (at least the part they control) into a protectorate of Israel (and the USA). We know that the horizons of the social and class struggles that we are waging now and will wage in the future are shaped by the rise of genocidal fascism, of which Cyprus is literally at the epicentre.
There is, however, another call. We are now called upon to carry in our struggles the dignity of the resistance that still survives under the rubble and ruins of Gaza, the dignity that refuses death and exile. It is this dignity that we must find and carry to the hill of shame, to the gates of the Presidential Palace, on Monday. If there is still life, it lies in the dignity of resistance and the struggle for survival, in Palestine and everywhere.
Together with Cyprus Peace Council and dozens of other organisations, we condemn the continued and growing complicity of the Republic of Cyprus in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people and the government’s servile attitude towards the State of Israel. Kobos, Christodoulides, and none of them represent us.
